i get that alot. especially at the hardee's drive-thru: "please drive forward, ma'am" - what?!?
Hey Rick I pictured you having more of a southern twang in your voice. Admit it your a yankee :-)
not much of a twang, but not yankee - unless you cound being born in NORTH carolina.
i did radio a couple of years in the late 80s, and have been speaking a good bit since then. don't know if i "lost" my accent before all that or not.
